Hey everyone! Just came across this study (PMID: 12345678) claiming collagen gummies with added vitamin C show 'significant improvement' in skin elasticity after 8 weeks. Good catch OP! I looked up the study. While the methodology seems solid (randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled), the funding source is definitely a red flag. The company that funded it sells collagen gummies. The results show a 15% improvement vs placebo, but the sample size was only 60 people. I'd want to see independent replication before calling it definitive. Also, they didn't control for participants' baseline diets - could be other factors at play.

As someone who's tried EVERY collagen product out there (and shares my journey with 50K followers), I've seen real results with quality gummies! The vitamin C addition makes sense - it helps collagen synthesis. But you're right to question funding. I'd recommend looking for third-party tested brands with transparent sourcing. Interesting discussion! While hiking yesterday, I was thinking about how we get collagen naturally from bone broth and certain plants. These processed gummies often have artificial colors and excess sugar - not great for our bodies or the planet. The study might be technically correct, but are we solving a problem that doesn't exist? Nature provides what we need if we eat whole foods! *attaches photo of wild berries from my morning hike*

Marathon training wrecks my joints! I've been taking collagen gummies for 6 months and my recovery is definitely better. Placebo? Maybe. But I can run longer with less pain. The study's small sample doesn't bother me - most sports nutrition research starts small. As long as the gummies don't upset my stomach mid-run (some brands do!), I'll keep using them. Anyone found a brand that doesn't melt in the heat during long runs?
