THREAD: Collagen Gummies - Worth the Hype or Just Another Trend?Started by IvyIron36

Hey everyone, I'm a bit skeptical about these collagen gummies I keep seeing everywhere. As a parent trying to keep my family healthy, I'm always looking for natural options, but these seem too good to be true. Has anyone actually noticed real benefits from taking them? I'm especially curious about whether they're safe for kids - my 10-year-old has been asking to try them because they look like candy.

IvyIron36, I've been taking collagen gummies for 6 months now and I'm OBSESSED! My skin has never looked better - seriously, people keep asking me what I'm using. I take two every morning with my coffee. The key is consistency! I've tried 3 different brands and found that the ones with added vitamin C work best for absorption. Anyone else notice better joint flexibility? My knees used to crack getting out of bed, but not anymore!

I approach these with cautious optimism. I've been taking a vegan collagen gummy alternative for about 3 months now. While I haven't seen dramatic skin changes, I do feel like my nails are stronger and I have more energy throughout the day. IvyIron36, regarding safety for kids - most brands I've researched recommend them for adults only. The dosage is formulated for adult bodies. Maybe try a children's multivitamin gummy instead?

Thanks for the input! GummyGuru12340, which brand would you recommend for someone just starting out? I'm willing to give them a try myself, but I want something without artificial colors since I'm sensitive to those. MindfulMila48, that's good advice about the kids - I'll look into age-appropriate alternatives. Has anyone experienced any side effects? I'm always worried about digestive issues with supplements.

IvyIron36, I love the Vital Proteins brand - they have a clean ingredient list and no artificial colors! Start with one gummy daily for the first week to see how your body reacts. As for side effects, I had some mild bloating the first few days, but it went away once my body adjusted. MindfulMila48, have you tried combining your gummies with hyaluronic acid? I've heard that can boost the skin benefits even more!

GummyGuru12340, I haven't tried that combination yet, but I'll look into it! IvyIron36, I agree with starting slow. I also recommend checking the sugar content - some brands pack these with as much sugar as regular gummy candy. I look for ones with 2g of sugar or less per serving. Has anyone found a brand that's truly third-party tested? That's my biggest concern with supplements - quality control varies so much between companies.
