Hey everyone! I've been taking creatine gummies for a few weeks and love them. But I'm wondering if I can take them with my morning coffee? I read somewhere that caffeine might blunt creatine's effects. Any experiences?

I’d be careful with that combo. Coffee is acidic and might degrade the creatine before it absorbs. Plus, if your gummies have sugar, that’s a double whammy. I always take mine with a glass of water, no caffeine.

I’ve been taking creatine with coffee for years. No issues here. The whole caffeine-creatine antagonism is overblown. Just don’t chug a gallon of coffee. One cup is fine. Enjoy your gains!

Actually, the research is mixed. Some studies suggest caffeine can reduce creatine uptake, but the effect is small. I’d suggest spacing them out by an hour. Also, maybe try a sugar-free gummy if you’re concerned about blood sugar spikes with coffee.

Paleo perspective: Ditch the gummies and coffee altogether. Real food sources of creatine like red meat are better. But if you must, black coffee and creatine are fine. Just avoid any sugary add-ins.
