Creatine Gummies: Convenient or Just Candy?

I just saw these new creatine gummies at the store, and I'm bummed. They have like 5g of sugar per serving! I've been strict paleo for years, and I'm all for convenience, but this feels like we're just turning supplements into candy. Whatever happened to plain creatine powder? Am I the only one who feels this way?

Nah, I get it Daphne, but think about the average gym-goer. Not everyone has the discipline to mix powder or swallow pills. Gummies make it easier for people to stick to their supplements. Plus, 5g of sugar isn't the end of the world if you're training hard. I've seen a lot of my followers switch to gummies and they love them. Convenience is key!

I'm with Daphne on the principle, but I also see Rich's point. I'm a photog, spend a lot of time outdoors, and I don't want to carry a shaker bottle. Gummies are pretty handy for hikes, but I do feel like a kid eating candy sometimes. Maybe it's about choosing the lesser evil? Is there a sugar-free option?

Rich, I get that convenience factor, but 'candy-fication' feels like a slippery slope. We already have enough temptation as it is. I've seen 'protein cookies' with more sugar than a candy bar. It's like the supplement industry is just copying the junk food playbook. And to Zack's point, there are sugar-free gummies, but they use maltitol and that gives me, uh, digestive distress, if you know what I mean 😅

Haha, fair point on the maltitol! But honestly, if a gummy gets someone to actually take creatine consistently, I think that's a win. We can always dial in the rest of their diet later. Just my two cents. 🤷‍♂️
