Creatine Gummies on the Go – Melting, TSA, Storage Tips?
Headed out for a week-long hiking trip and want to bring my creatine gummies for that extra push. Anyone ever had issues with them melting in the heat? Also, do they count as a gel/liquid for TSA? Drop your storage hacks below!
I've taken them on flights before – no problem with TSA, just toss 'em in your carry-on. But yeah, they can get soft if it's hot. I keep mine in a small cooler bag with an ice pack, or you could vacuum seal them. For hiking, maybe use a thermos with a lid?
Traveling for work all the time. I use a silicone pill container that's airtight, and I've never had melting issues unless I leave 'em in a hot car. But fyi, TSA doesn't care – it's food, not liquid. Just don't bring a huge bulk bag.
Wait, are these actually safe? My son wanted to bring some on a road trip, but I worry about them turning into a sticky mess and attracting bugs. Plus, do you really need extra 'energy' for hiking? Seems like a marketing gimmick to me.
Thanks for the tips! @KaleKen735 – I get the skepticism, but for long endurance hikes, creatine can help with muscle recovery. And so far no sticky mess! I'll try the cooler + airtight container combo, and maybe toss in a silica gel pack to absorb moisture.
