Hey everyone! I'm trying to make my own creatine gummies at home. I used gelatin, some creatine monohydrate powder, and a bit of fruit juice. But my last batch turned out rock hard and tasted terrible. Any tips on ratios or a better recipe? I need something portable for the gym.

Are you sure making these yourself is safe? I've read that creatine can degrade with heat, and if you use too much gelatin, you get those hard gummies. Maybe try using agar instead? Also, don't forget to add a little citric acid for taste.

Oof, I tried this once and ended up with a sticky mess. What worked for me was 1 tbsp gelatin per 1 cup liquid, but you gotta bloom it in cold water first. Also, don't boil the creatine – mix it in after the gelatin dissolves off the heat. And use a silicone mold for easy removal.

Thanks for the tips! I think I boiled the mix too long. @UrbanUma514, do you add any sweetener or flavoring? Mine were super bland. FloraFinn, I'll try agar next time – does it set the same way?

Agar sets firmer than gelatin, so you might need less. But honestly, I still think it's easier to just buy them. The powder can clump and you might not get consistent dosing. Just my two cents as a worried mom!
