Gummy turned hard & sugar bloom – safe to eat?
Hey everyone! I just opened my new bottle of creatine gummies (brand X) and they're all stuck together and have white spots on them. They're also a bit hard, not soft like before. Is this normal? Still safe to take?
Ugh, that sounds iffy. I'd be super cautious. Sugar bloom is often harmless, but hardness could mean moisture loss or even mold. When in doubt, toss 'em. Your health isn't worth the risk, especially with kids around. Did you check the expiration date?
I had this happen with magnesium gummies once. I ate them anyway and was fine. But creatine might be different… maybe contact the brand? Also, storing them in a cool place helps. ✨
Hold up – are these gummies vegan? Many creatine gummies use gelatin or other animal stuff. If they changed texture, they might have degraded. I'd say return them or compost them. Safety first, but also ethics.
Thanks y'all! They're not vegan, Greg. Guess I'll toss them and get a new batch. Any brand recs that don't turn into rocks? 😅
