Help! My kid thinks my creatine gummies are candy!

So I bought those new creatine gummies for my workouts. Left the bottle on the counter while I went to take a shower. Came back to find my 5-year-old happily munching on them like they were fruit snacks. I freaked out but the bottle says it's safe? He ate like 4. Anyone else dealt with this? I'm now hiding them in the garage.

haha that's rough but kinda funny. My wife did the same thing, thought they were her gummy vitamins. She had a stomach ache for a day but was fine. Creatine is pretty safe in small doses, just don't make a habit of it. Get a child-proof container or stash them somewhere high.

I'd be more worried about the sugar content for a 5-year-old. But yeah, creatine is one of the most studied supplements out there - not toxic. Maybe get one of those lockable supplement containers? I use a Tupperware in my locked gym bag. Better safe than sorry.

LOL that's classic. My kid refused to eat them because he said they 'smelled like a gym sock'. I actually prefer the texture of the gummies to powder, but to each their own. Maybe try explaining it's 'special muscle candy' or just hide them better. Kids are sneaky man.

Thanks y'all. Glad to know it's not super dangerous. Def getting a lockbox. And @KaleKen429 'special muscle candy' might actually work on my kid haha! He wants to be strong like daddy.
