THREAD: Just saw this study on creatine gummies - legit or just hype?Started by OP

Hey everyone, came across this article summarizing a recent study (PMID: 12345678) that claims creatine gummies might not absorb as well as powder due to the gelatin matrix. The study was funded by a supplement company that sells powders, so I'm a bit skeptical. What do you all think - biased research or something we should actually worry about? OP, you're right to be skeptical. I looked up the study - it's a small sample size (n=20) and the funding source is a huge red flag. Most of these 'studies' are just marketing in disguise. Remember when that company tried to prove their B12 gummies were 'superior'? Same playbook. I'd wait for independent research before drawing conclusions.

Omg I've been taking creatine gummies for months now and my energy levels have been SO much better! I don't care what some study says, my personal experience tells me they work. Plus, they're way more convenient than mixing powders. If it's working for you, don't stress about absorption rates! #ListenToYourBody

As someone who barely has time to eat lunch between meetings, gummies are a lifesaver. But Vince makes a good point about funding bias. OP, did the study compare to other gummy brands or just powders? If it's only one brand, might not be generalizable. I'll stick with my gummies for now but keeping an eye on this.

Ah, this takes me back to the early 2000s when everyone was skeptical about any supplement that wasn't a plain capsule. The science evolves, but the marketing tactics don't. I remember blogging about similar 'studies' back then. My advice: look for third-party testing on your specific brand. Some gummy companies do independent absorption tests now.
