THREAD: Creatine Gummies - Are They Actually Worth the Hype?Started by GlowGigi

Hey everyone, I've been seeing creatine gummies popping up everywhere lately. As a science enthusiast, I'm curious about the bioavailability compared to traditional powder forms. Has anyone looked into the actual absorption rates? I'm skeptical about whether the gummy format delivers enough creatine to be effective, especially since most seem to have lower doses per serving.

OMG I've been taking the strawberry-flavored creatine gummies for 3 weeks now and I LOVE them! No more chalky aftertaste or mixing mess. I take 2 gummies pre-workout and feel like I have way more energy during my HIIT sessions. The convenience is a game-changer - I just throw them in my gym bag. Anyone else tried the strawberry ones?

Interesting discussion. As someone who tracks all my biomarkers, I've been experimenting with creatine gummies alongside my usual stack. The key advantage I've found is consistent dosing - no more measuring errors. However, most brands use cheaper forms of creatine. Look for creatine monohydrate specifically. Also, check the sugar content - some gummies have as much sugar as candy!

I'm torn on these. On one hand, I appreciate the convenience and taste (the orange ones are actually delicious). But as someone focused on clean nutrition, I'm concerned about the artificial colors and sweeteners in most brands. Has anyone found a clean formulation without all the additives? Also, what's the ideal timing - pre or post workout?

Following up on my earlier post - I did some research. Most studies show creatine monohydrate needs about 3-5g daily for cognitive and physical benefits. The gummies I've seen typically offer 1-2g per serving. So you'd need to take multiple servings, which could get expensive. LunarLily makes a good point about checking the actual creatine form and sugar content.

To address Mila's question - I found a brand that uses natural colors and stevia! It's a bit pricier but worth it IMO. As for timing, I've been doing 2 gummies 30 mins before workout and sometimes 1 more post-workout on heavy training days. The energy boost is real! Anyone else notice better recovery?
