Hey all, been taking elderberry gummies for about a week now (the ones with zinc and vitamin C from Nature's Way). Noticed that my dreams have been SUPER vivid and weirdly lucid. Like, I'm not complaining, it's actually kinda cool, but it's a bit odd. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Also, my pee is a bit brighter yellow, but I figure that's just the vitamins.

Oh wow, I've had the same thing with elderberry! I read somewhere that it can interact with the nervous system a bit, and some people are more sensitive. I also get more vivid dreams when I take zinc before bed. Maybe try taking them in the morning? But honestly, if it's not bothering you, it's a free trip to la-la land haha. Just make sure you're not taking too much zinc, that can cause the bright urine too.

Interesting! My kids take elderberry gummies daily and they haven't mentioned any weird dreams. But I've noticed that when I take them, my taste buds seem to change a bit - like everything tastes slightly sweeter for a while. And yes, bright yellow urine is normal - it's the riboflavin (B2) from the elderberries. As long as you're getting a quality product, should be fine. Maybe try a different brand if it's too intense?

I'm all about that natural sleep hack, so I've been using elderberry gummies as part of my nighttime routine. Definitely get some trippy dreams, but I think it's because the gummies have magnesium in some brands, and that helps with relaxation. Also, I've heard that the anthocyanins in elderberries can cross the blood-brain barrier and mess with neurotransmitters a bit. Not a bad thing, but just be aware. Keep an eye on how you feel during the day - if you're groggy, maybe switch to mornings like Wendy said.
