Hey all, I take elderberry gummies every morning for immune support. But I also can't function without my coffee. Is it safe to take them together? Or does the heat/caffeine mess with the gummies? Any thoughts?

I've been doing that for ages! Coffee and elderberry gummies are fine together. The heat from coffee won't degrade the gummies unless you're dissolving them in it (which would be weird). Just take both with breakfast. I've never had an issue. However, if you're on keto, watch the sugar in the gummies - they can kick you out of ketosis. But that's separate.

As a sleep-deprived parent, I live on coffee and gummies. I take elderberry in the morning and it's fine. But I've also read that caffeine can interfere with absorption of some supplements? Not sure about elderberry specifically. I'd say it's fine, but if you're worried, wait 30 mins between them. That's what I do with my vitamins.

I did a quick search on this. There's no known interaction between elderberry and caffeine. They are safe to take together. The only thing to consider is that elderberry might interact with certain medications, but coffee isn't one. However, if you're taking other supplements, check with a doc. Also, avoid taking elderberry with diuretics or laxatives as it might increase those effects. But coffee is a mild diuretic, so if you're sensitive, just stay hydrated. Overall, it's fine.
