Elderberry gummies: too much sugar for a 'health' product?

I've been taking elderberry gummies for a while, but lately I'm looking at the sugar content and it's like candy! 5g per gummy? That's basically a teaspoon of sugar. I know they need some sugar to taste good, but this feels like a scam. Why not just take a tincture or something pure?

I feel you, but convenience matters too. I don't have time to measure tinctures, and gummies are easy to toss in my bag. Plus, the sugar helps absorption. But yeah, some brands go overboard. Look for ones sweetened with stevia or monk fruit.

Totally agree with RhinoRich. The 'candy-fication' of supplements is real. Elderberry is great, but you're better off with a syrup or even dried berries. Gummies are just glorified candy with a health halo. Check the label - if sugar is one of the first ingredients, pass.

Exactly, DewyDaphne86! And MangoMia774, I get the convenience, but I'd rather carry a small bottle of tincture. It lasts longer and I can control the dose. Anyone have a clean brand rec?

I use Nature's Way gummies - they have 2g sugar per serving. Not perfect, but better. Also, some brands use organic cane sugar. Still sugar but less processed. But yeah, if you want zero sugar, go liquid.
