Elderberry on sale at Costco – too good to be true?
So I was at Costco today and saw a huge bottle of elderberry gummies for like $12. Normally it's $20+. My first thought was 'steal!' but then I wondered, is it cheaper because it's lower quality? I'm a weekend warrior, not a hardcore supplement guy, but I don't want to waste money on junk. Anyone tried these? The brand was Nature's Bounty I think.
Honestly, price doesn't always mean quality. I've gotten good deals at Costco and they've been fine. But I always check the label for actual elderberry extract vs just flavoring. Some cheaper ones are mostly sugar with a tiny bit of elderberry. Look for standardized extract or at least the amount of elderberry per serving. For me, I'd rather pay a bit more for a reliable brand, but if it's a big name like Nature's Bounty, it's probably decent.
I've seen those! I actually scanned the QR code on the bottle with my phone and compared the ingredients to the same brand at Target. Same formulation I think. Costco just buys in bulk and passes on savings. So I'd say it's a steal! Plus, I use my fitness tracker to log supplements, and the serving size is the same. I'd grab it before it's gone.
