Is it just me, or are these "gummies" more candy than supplement?

Just checked the label on my new elderberry gummies... 5g of sugar per gummy! That's like a candy bar, not a health supplement. I get that they need to taste good, but this is ridiculous. Might as well eat a lollipop and call it a day. Anyone else annoyed by this trend?

Oh honey, I hear you. I was a nurse for 30 years and I've seen too many folks tricked by marketing. These companies load up on sugar to get you hooked. Elderberry is great for immune support, but you're better off with a sugar-free tincture or even brewing your own tea. Don't let the "gummy" trend fool you.

I actually disagree a bit. I'm all about optimizing health, and for me, convenience is key. I take elderberry gummies because I know I won't stick with a tea or tincture routine. Sure, 5g sugar isn't ideal, but the bioavailability of the nutrients in gummies can be better with certain formulations. It's about the net benefit.

JoyfulJack, that's exactly the mindset the supplement industry wants! They're turning us into candy addicts. Real elderberry has been used for centuries without any added sugar. If you want convenience, get capsules or a powder. Gummies are a marketing gimmick, not a health solution. Period.

Vince, I'm with you. I travel a lot and tried gummies for convenience, but now I'm switching to a loose powder. Even if it tastes like dirt, at least it's honest. WaterWillow, any tips for a good sugar-free tincture brand?
