My kid thinks elderberry gummies are candy – help!

So my 4yo found the stash of elderberry gummies and ate half the bottle. He’s fine but I’m freaking out. How do you keep your kids from treating these like candy? #momfail

Omg I feel you! My husband did the same thing lol. I now hide them in the back of the fridge. Also try the vegan ones – they’re less sweet. Hope your little one is okay!

Elderberry is great for immunity but yes, they look tempting. I always keep them in a high cabinet. For texture issues, I’ve seen kids dislike the chewy texture – maybe try the liquid extract if they’re picky.

Wait ate half a bottle?? How many mg? My kid did that once and had the runs for days. Now I do ‘gummy time’ with a strict limit. Also store them in a lock box – works like a charm.

Thanks everyone! @DynamicDan259 good call on the lock box! He ate about 8 gummies (20mg each). No tummy issues thank goodness. I’ll try the fridge hiding trick too!
