THREAD: Started Elderberry for sleep, but WOW unexpected benefit!Started by QuantumQuincy715

Hey everyone, so I started taking these elderberry gummies about 2 weeks ago mainly to help me wind down at night (I'm new to meditation and my mind races). But here's the weird thing – I'm sleeping okay, but my skin is suddenly SO clear! Like, I haven't had a breakout since I started. Anyone else get a totally different benefit than they expected?

Quincy, that's fascinating! Elderberry is packed with antioxidants (vitamins A, C) and flavonoids – those are great for fighting inflammation, which can definitely improve skin health. It's not the most common use, but it makes sense biologically. Are you taking them with food? Absorption might be better. For sleep, you might want to pair them with magnesium glycinate – game changer for relaxation!

lol i started taking the cheap store-brand elderberry gummies last month bc i heard they help with immunity during finals stress. my sleep's still trash, but my anxiety has actually chilled out a bit? like i don't feel as overwhelmed. maybe it's placebo but for $8 a bottle i'll take it. OP what brand are you using? if it's expensive im out

Wendy – thanks for the science breakdown! I take them after dinner, so yes with food. And Dan, I'm using the 'Nature's Way' ones – not the cheapest but got them on sale. That's so interesting about anxiety! Maybe the anti-inflammatory stuff helps the nervous system too? I'm definitely less irritable, which my roommate probably appreciates haha.

Dan, that's a valid point – stress reduction is linked to lower inflammation, so there could be a synergy there. Quincy, stick with it if you're seeing benefits! Just remember, gummies often have added sugars, so check the label. For budget options, look for elderberry syrups – you can dilute in tea. Keep us updated!
