Hey everyone! Planning a family road trip to the mountains next week and want to bring our daily elderberry gummies for immune support. Worried they might melt in the car or during hikes. Also, if we fly later this month - does TSA consider these supplements or liquids? Any storage tips from fellow travelers? Thanks!

OMG YES they melt! Last summer I left my bottle in the car during a grocery run and came back to a sticky mess. TSA is fine with them in carry-on - they're supplements, not liquids. Pro tip: keep them in the original bottle with the label, just in case. Also, maybe toss them in a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack if you're worried about heat.

As a paleo traveler, I always bring my supplements. TSA has never questioned my elderberry gummies, even in bulk. For hiking, I use a small airtight container and keep it in the middle of my pack away from direct sun. They can get soft above 80°F but won't fully melt unless left in extreme heat. Road trip tip: don't leave them in the glove compartment!

Sleep-deprived parent here - can confirm the melting issue! I once packed them in my checked luggage on a flight to Florida and they were all stuck together when we arrived. Now I always carry them in my purse/personal item. TSA doesn't care as long as they're not liquid. For hiking, I put them in a ziplock inside my hydration pack where it's cooler.
