Are fiber gummies just candy in disguise?

I was looking into fiber gummies for convenience but then I saw the sugar content – 5g per serving! That's basically candy. Why can't we get a real supplement without all the sweeteners? It feels like the whole supplement industry is just pandering to our sugar addiction. Am I overreacting?

I hear you, but honestly, if a little sugar helps me actually take my fiber every day, I'm all for it. I tried those powder fibers and they taste like cardboard. Plus, the gummies have pectin and other natural stuff. I'd rather have a tiny bit of sugar than skip fiber altogether. Moderation, bro!

There's actually science behind why they add sugar. Gummies need a certain texture and stability, and sugar helps with that. But you can find sugar-free options with artificial sweeteners if that's your thing. Personally, I prefer dextrose powder – it's cheap and unflavored. But for convenience, gummies are fine as long as you don't eat the whole bottle.

I guess I just hate the 'candy-fication' of everything. But you make a point about compliance – if it helps people get their fiber, maybe it's not all bad. I'm still side-eyeing those sugar amounts though. Do you guys think fiber gummies actually work as well as powders?

From my experience, yeah! My digestion is way better since I started taking them. The key is to drink plenty of water. And I only take two a day, so the sugar is like 2.5g – not a big deal. If you're worried, just balance it with the rest of your diet. Fiber gummies saved my gut, lol.
