Are fiber gummies really just candy in disguise?

Ugh, I just bought a bottle of fiber gummies for my kids because they refuse to take the powder stuff. But then I read the label… 5g of sugar per serving! That's like a gummy bear. How is this healthy? My dentist is gonna love me.

I feel you, but honestly, taste matters. If it's nasty, nobody's gonna take it. I'd rather have a little sugar and actually get the fiber than choke down some chalky pill. Plus, you can always brush your teeth after.

As a retired nurse, I've seen too many parents think gummies are a free pass. They're supplements, not candy. Limit intake and watch the sugar. Some brands have sugar-free options with maltitol or stevia – might be worth looking into.

Back in my day, we just ate prunes. 😂 But seriously, the whole 'candy-fication' of vitamins makes me nostalgic for Flintstones chewables. At least those had some education behind them. Now it's just marketing to kids.

Ha, prunes! I wish my kids would eat those. Maybe I'll try the sugar-free ones, Claire. But then I worry about artificial stuff. Can't win, I guess. Thanks for the tips, all.
