I tried making my own fiber gummies with psyllium husk powder and gelatin, but they turned out super gritty and taste like cardboard. Used stevia for sweetness but it's still nasty. Any tips to make them actually palatable? I used 2 tbsp psyllium, 1 packet gelatin, 1/2 cup water, and some mango flavor. Help!

I feel you! I'm all about sugar-free but those homemade ones can be rough. Maybe try using a flavor extract like orange or lemon? Also, stevia can get bitter. Try monk fruit instead. And for texture, psyllium is tricky... maybe use less or blend it finer? I've had luck with agar agar instead of gelatin for a cleaner chew.

Oh, that's a common issue! The grit is probably from not hydrating the psyllium enough. Try mixing the psyllium with a little hot water first to make a gel before adding the rest. Also, use a high-quality flavor oil from a health store - the artificial ones taste like chemicals. And a tip: add a pinch of salt to balance flavors!

As a fitness guy, I've made tons of protein gummies. For fiber, I suggest using only gelatin (not psyllium) for a smooth texture. Psyllium absorbs too much liquid. Try 3 tbsp gelatin, 1 cup juice (like prune or berry), and a tbsp of chia seeds for extra fiber. Heat gently, pour into molds, fridge for 2 hrs. Tastes way better!

Thanks everyone! i'll try the gelatin-only approach with monk fruit and maybe some lemon juice. Also going to dust them in a bit of citric acid for sourness. Will report back if I don't give up and just buy the store ones lol
