Fiber Gummies: Healthy or Just Candy in Disguise?

Hey all, just tried some fiber gummies and I'm kinda shocked at how much sugar is in them! Like, 5g per serving? I'm a student trying to save money and eat healthy, but this feels like I'm just eating candy with a vitamin label. Anyone else think this 'candy-fication' of supplements is getting out of hand? I get they're convenient, but at what cost?

Totally feel you, Dan! As a digital nomad, I love the convenience of gummies—no powders to mix while I'm working from cafes. But yeah, the sugar is a bummer. I switched to a brand with stevia instead, but it's pricier. Maybe check the ingredients list? Some use tapioca syrup or fruit juice, which might be slightly better? Still, it's a trade-off between purity and portability for me.

Night shift worker here, and I avoid gummies entirely. All that sugar messes with my energy levels when I need to stay alert. I stick to fiber capsules—no sugar, no fuss. Sure, they're less fun, but health isn't about convenience, it's about what's pure. If you're on a budget, Dan, maybe look into bulk psyllium husk? Cheap and effective, though it tastes like cardboard lol.

Thanks for the tips! Nancy, I'll check those stevia ones, but yeah, budget is tight. Pete, psyllium husk sounds hardcore—might give it a shot if I can stomach it. Still, it's frustrating that 'healthy' options are loaded with sugar. Anyone found a middle ground? Or are we all just being tricked by marketing?

Haha, Pete's right about the cardboard taste! Dan, maybe try mixing a little psyllium into a smoothie? I do that sometimes when I'm not traveling. And yeah, marketing is wild—they make it seem like a treat, but it's still a supplement. Let us know what you end up choosing! For now, I'm sticking with my stevia gummies 'cause they fit my on-the-go life.
