Fiber gummies: too much sugar?
Seriously, people? Fiber gummies are just candy with a sprinkle of fiber. 10g sugar per serving? Might as well eat a real gummy bear. What happened to just eating prunes or taking a fiber powder?
I get your point Vince, but not everyone can choke down a gritty powder. For patients with poor appetite or texture issues, gummies are a game changer. Yes, sugar is a concern, but there are sugar-free options now.
Convenience has a cost. These 'supplements' are processed junk. A whole-food diet with ground flax or chia gives you real fiber without the additives. I say ditch the gummies.
But they taste so good! 😂 I know it's not ideal, but if a gummy helps me get my 25g of fiber when I'm craving something sweet, it's a win in my book. Moderation, right?
Moderation? The whole point is you're tricking yourself into thinking it's healthy. Read the label: sugar, corn syrup, pectin. It's candy. I'll stick to my psyllium husk, thanks.
