Fiber gummies turned into a brick - safe to eat?

Hey all, I bought a bottle of fiber gummies about 2 months ago and they were fine until now. I opened them today and they're all stuck together in one big clump, and the gummies are really hard. There's also some white powder on them, maybe sugar bloom? They smell fine though. Are they still safe to eat or should I toss em? I hate wasting money.

I've had that happen before. Usually it's just from temperature changes or humidity. They're probably safe to eat as long as they don't smell funky or have mold. You can try to break them apart and maybe microwave for a few seconds to soften, but be careful not to melt them. I'd say they're fine, just not as tasty.

White powder is definitely sugar bloom - happens when moisture gets in and then evaporates. It's harmless. The hardness might be because they're old. I've eaten gummies that were like rocks and I'm still alive lol. But if they're really hard, they might not digest well. Maybe crush them up and put in smoothie? That's what I do.

Honestly, I wouldn't risk it. Fiber gummies are cheap enough. If they're clumped together and hard, there's a chance they've lost potency or the ingredients have degraded. Plus, the texture change could mean the gelatin or pectin broke down. I'd toss and get a fresh bottle. Your gut health isn't worth saving $10.

Thanks guys, I think I'll toss them just to be safe. Next time I'll store them in the fridge I guess.
