Hey all! I'm trying to make my own fiber gummies at home to avoid all the sugar in store-bought ones. I used psyllium husk powder, gelatin, and some apple juice. They turned out like rubbery blobs that taste like cardboard. Anyone have a good recipe or tips? I need these for my post-workout digestion. Thanks!

Psyllium husk is tricky because it absorbs a ton of liquid and gets goopy. I tried it once and ended up with a brick. Maybe try using soluble corn fiber or inulin instead. Also, you need enough gelatin to set it - I use 2 tbsp per cup of liquid plus a bit of citric acid for tartness. Good luck!

Hey Olivia! For a more natural option, try agar-agar (from seaweed). It's vegan and sets firmer. I mix 1 tsp agar with 2 cups of fruit juice, simmer for 5 mins, then add some acacia fiber. They come out like legit gummy bears! Just don't use too much juice or they'll be soft.

I've been experimenting too! My fail was using too much honey - they were sticky messes. I found that a combo of gelatin and a small amount of starch (like arrowroot) helps texture. Also, you gotta bloom the gelatin in cold water first. Let me know if you want my exact ratio.

Thanks everyone! Root, I'll try inulin. Joyful, I'm gonna attempt agar since I'm dairy-free. Eco, yes please share your ratio! I'm determined to nail this for my gym bag snacks. Appreciate the help!
