My kid thinks fiber gummies are candy and won't stop stealing them!
Okay so I bought these fiber gummies for myself to help with... you know, digestion. But my 4-year-old found them and now thinks they're candy. He's been sneaking them whenever I turn my back! He'll come up to me and say 'Momma, can I have a gummy?' and he's already eaten like 5. I had to hide them on the top shelf. Anyone else have this problem??
Haha, classic. My dog once ate a whole bottle of my wife's gummy vitamins, thought he was fine but then we had to rush him to the vet. Anyway, I'd suggest you switch to a brand that looks less like candy? Or maybe just get a lock for your cabinet. Kids are relentless, trust me.
This is why I'm skeptical of gummy supplements. They're basically candy with a tiny bit of fiber. And kids can't tell the difference. I'd rather chew a chalky tablet or just eat more veggies. But yeah, hide them well or just keep them in a place your kid can't reach. Maybe in your bedroom? And on a schedule, so he knows when he can have one.
I feel this. My wife calls me a child because I still take Flintstones vitamins. But in all seriousness, maybe try explaining to him that they're for adults only? Or get a childproof container. I know some brands have those. And if he's really sneaking them, maybe it's his way of telling you he wants more fiber? LOL.
