New study on fiber gummies - legit or hype?
Hey everyone! I just came across this study on fiber gummies and wondered what you all think. It claims that a certain type of fiber (inulin?) in gummies can help with gut health and blood sugar. But it's funded by a supplement company, so I'm a bit skeptical. Is it legit or just marketing? Here's the link: [study link]. What's your take?
I wouldn't trust anything funded by the supplement industry. They always twist results to sell their products. I've been taking fiber gummies for a while, and honestly, they work for me, but I don't need a study to tell me that. Plenty of anectodal evidence on this forum. Just my two cents.
I think you gotta read the fine print. Inulin is a prebiotic fiber, and there are plenty of independent studies on it. But the gummy form might not deliver enough fiber to make a difference. I'd rather get my fiber from food, like chia seeds or oats. But if you like gummies, maybe look for ones with acacia fiber instead? Just a thought.
I think it's a mix. The study might be biased, but that doesn't mean the ingredient is useless. Fiber is fiber, and gummies can be a nice way to add some extra. I personally take a gummy for fiber when on the go. But I also eat a lot of veggies. It's all about balance, right? Plus, if it makes you feel better, that's what matters. 😊
