Traveling with Fiber Gummies - do they survive a plane ride?

Hey all! I'm headed to Europe next week and I can't go without my fiber gummies (they keep me regular on the road). I'm a bit worried about them melting in the plane, and also TSA rules. Anyone have experience with flying with gummies? Should I pack them in carry-on or checked? Any storage tips to keep them from turning into one big blob?

I always travel with my gummies! But I'm a sugar-free advocate, so I use the kind sweetened with stevia. They seem to have a higher melting point. But I read that TSA doesn't care about gummies as long as they're not liquids. I put them in a separate bag in my carry-on. However, to prevent melting, I'd suggest carrying them in a small insulated pouch or even a thermos with some ice (but that might be overkill). If you're going to a hot climate, maybe pack them in a cooler or freeze them if they can handle it. Also, don't forget to check if the country you're going to has any restrictions on supplements. Hope that helps!

I fly with my gummies all the time (gym life, need the fiber for my protein-heavy diet). I've never had TSA even glance at them. Just keep them in the original container or a labeled bag. They do soften a bit on a flight if the cabin gets warm, but they usually come out fine. My trick: put them in a small, hard plastic container (like a mini tupperware) to prevent crushing, and avoid leaving them in a hot car. For plane, carry-on is best because checked baggage can get really cold, but that's fine for gummies; they don't freeze solid, just get hard. But honestly, unless it's summer and really hot, I wouldn't stress too much.

Back in my day, we didn't have these fancy gummies! But my daughter travels with them. She always puts them in a ziplock and in her personal item. The TSA agents are more worried about the 3-1-1 liquids rule, not gummies. She's never had an issue. But one time, she left them in the car on a hot day and they turned into a giant blob. So I'd say, keep them away from heat. If you're hiking, maybe put them in a small cool pack with your water. You'll be fine!
