GOLI Gummies - Are we just eating candy disguised as vitamins?

Okay, I need to vent. I bought GOLI gummies for my kids because everyone raves about them, but I just checked the label... 3g of sugar per serving! That's basically candy with a vitamin sticker. Aren't we supposed to be reducing sugar, not finding new ways to package it? I feel like I'm being tricked by marketing. My kids love them, but now I'm wondering if I should just go back to traditional pills. Anyone else bothered by this?

QuartzQuinn258 I totally get your concern! But hear me out - as a wellness influencer, I've seen firsthand that consistency is KEY. If your kids actually TAKE the gummies daily vs fighting over pills they might skip, that 3g of sugar is a worthwhile trade-off. The apple cider vinegar and other ingredients still provide real benefits. Sometimes 'perfect' is the enemy of 'good enough' when it comes to health routines! #practicalwellness

As a student, I'm just happy I can afford something that doesn't taste awful lol. The regular vitamins were breaking my budget and I'd forget them. Yeah there's sugar but it's less than my morning coffee syrup? And I actually remember to take them. Maybe not perfect but better than nothing which was my alternative.

Love this discussion! QuartzQuinn258 - your skepticism is valid, but consider this: the sugar content is minimal compared to actual candy, and it enables bioavailability. The pectin base helps nutrient absorption! I've interviewed nutritionists who say compliance matters most. That said, I do wish they'd offer a stevia-sweetened version for purists. What if we started a petition for a sugar-free line? #innovationneeded

Thanks all. MangoMia219 I see your point about consistency - my kids DO ask for these vs the battle with pills. FloraFinn I feel you on budget too! GummyGuru430 a sugar-free version would be amazing. Maybe I'm overthinking it... but still feels weird that 'wellness' now means making everything taste like dessert. Will keep using them for now but with side-eye at the ingredients list 😅
