Hey all, so I've had my GOLI gummies for a few months now and they've gotten super hard and there's like a white powdery stuff on them (sugar bloom?). They're also sticking together in the bottle. Are they still safe to eat? I don't wanna waste them but also don't wanna get sick. Any thoughts?

Hi! From what I know, sugar bloom is just the sugar crystallizing on the surface - it's totally harmless! Same with texture changes. Your gummies might not taste as fresh, but they should still be safe to consume. However, if they smell off or have any mold, definitely toss them. Just make sure to keep them in a cool, dry place next time! 😊

I've been taking supplements for decades, and I've seen my fair share of gummy changes. As long as there's no moisture inside and they haven't melted/refrozen, they're likely fine. The hardening is just the gelatin losing moisture. You can try putting them in a ziplock with a damp paper towel for a few hours to soften them up. But honestly, if they're past their best-by date, I'd just get a new bottle. Better safe than sorry.

I'm a broke college student, so I totally get not wanting to waste them! 🙈 I've eaten gummies that were like little rocks and I'm still alive lol. But for real, if they aren't expired and you don't see any weird fuzz or smell anything funky, they're probably okay. I'd just chew carefully... or let them soften in water for a bit (does that work?). But I usually just power through!

Thanks guys! No mold, smell is normal. I'll try the damp paper towel trick, Vince. And Sam is right, I'll store them better next time. I guess I'll eat them but not too much at once. Appreciate the help! 😄
