My kid thinks GOLI gummies are candy and it's a problem (funny but also...)
Ok so my 5 year old found my bottle of GOLI gummies in the pantry and thought they were fruit snacks. He ate like 4 before I caught him. I know they're not toxic but now he keeps asking for more 'candy' and I'm worried he'll sneak them when I'm not looking. Any tips on storing them or explaining to a kiddo that these are vitamins not treats? Also lowkey funny but also scary lol
LOL that's classic. My husband did the same thing but he's a grown man. He ate a handful thinking they were sour gummy bears. His stomach was not happy that night. I now keep mine in a drawer with a child-proof lock (lol) and also tell him they're 'mommy's medicine' and not for him. Works for my 4 year old. Maybe use that phrase?
Haha yes! I have a similar issue but opposite - my kid REFUSES to eat them because of the texture. She says they're too 'squishy' and weird. I've had to cut them up and hide in her yogurt. But for the sneaking issue, I bought a small safe with a code from amazon. Overkill maybe but I got tired of hiding them everywhere. Also, try putting them in a high cabinet that even you need a step stool for. Out of sight, out of mind.
Thanks for the laughs and advice! I'll try the 'mommy's medicine' line and get a lockbox. My kid's not too picky about texture, he'll eat anything that tastes sweet, which is the problem. Maybe I should switch to the non-gummy kind for now? But I love these for myself haha.
