New study on B12 in gummies? Anyone else see this?

So I came across this study (PMID: 38765421) claiming that cyanocobalamin in gummies isn’t as bioavailable as methylcobalamin. Is this legit or Big Pharma trying to push more expensive forms? My GOLI gummies use cyano… should I switch? 🤔

As a retired nurse, I’ve seen both forms work. The study might be legit but it depends on your genetics. Some people convert cyano just fine. But if you’re worried, GOLI does have a methyl version I think? Don’t panic Noah 😉

I’m Paleo and avoid synthetic stuff. That study sounds like it could be funded by supplement companies selling methyl. I’d look at who funded it. Personally I just eat liver for B12 lol. Gummies are a treat not a staple.

Living nomad means I can’t always get fresh food. I take GOLI B12 gummies on the road. My energy is fine. But I might look into that, thanks Noah. Anyone know if the study was peer-reviewed? 🤷‍♂️

Good points all! The study was in the Journal of Nutrition, so probably peer-reviewed. I might just stick with GOLI for convenience. Cheers guys 🍻
