Are kids gummies just candy in disguise?

Am I the only one who's bothered by how much sugar is in those 'healthy' gummy vitamins for kids? My 6yo loves them, but I'm basically giving him candy every morning. Why can't they make sugar-free versions? It feels like we're conditioning kids to think vitamins are treats.

Ugh, totally agree! We're Paleo and even the 'natural' ones use fruit juice concentrates and cane syrup. I've switched to a powder that I sneak into smoothies. But I wish there was a convenient option that didn't compromise on purity. Have you tried any sugar-free brands?

I've tried a couple, but they either taste awful or have artificial sweeteners which I'm not a fan of either. There's one with xylitol but my dog got into it and I freaked out. Not great for teethers either.

I get where you're coming from, but as a gym rat, convenience is key. I don't have kids, but for me, gummy vitamins help me stay consistent. If they were tasteless, I'd probably skip them. Maybe a compromise: give them as a 'special treat' after a healthy breakfast? Moderation, dawg.

Fair point, but I think for kids, it's different. They don't understand moderation yet. I'd rather teach them that supplements aren't candy, you know? But I do wish there was a middle ground - maybe a gummy with no added sugars but still tasty? Anyone found one?
