Can I mix Kids Gummies with my coffee?
Hey everyone! I just bought these Kids Gummies for my son, but I accidentally grabbed an extra bottle. I usually have a cup of coffee in the morning, and I was wondering if I could take one of these gummies with my coffee? I know they're for kids, but they're just vitamins, right? Would it be safe and effective to combine them?
I'm a caffeine addict myself, so I feel you! But honestly, mixing kids' gummies with coffee might not be the best idea. The gummies usually have sugar and maybe some B vitamins, which could give you a jittery feeling on top of the caffeine. Plus, they're formulated for kids, so the dosages are lower. You'd probably need to eat a handful to get any effect, and that's a lot of sugar. Stick to your coffee and maybe get adult vitamins if you need them.
Haha, I'm an amateur chef, so I think about flavor combos. Coffee and gummy vitamins? The gummy might melt or get all sticky if you put them together, but that's a texture thing. On the safety side, I'd say check the label for any warnings. Some vitamins are fat-soluble, so taking them with coffee (which is mostly water) might not help absorption. Also, the coffee's acidity could degrade the vitamins. Probably not harmful, but not optimal. If you really want to try, maybe take the gummy separately with a glass of water before your coffee.
I'm on a tight budget, so I get wanting to use what you have, but those kids' gummies are pricey! If you ask me, you'd be better off eating a healthy breakfast and saving the gummies for your kid. Mixing with coffee might just mean you pee out the excess vitamins. I doubt it's dangerous, but it's not gonna be 'effective' in any meaningful way. Plus, you don't want to get into the habit of taking kids' supplements – your body needs different stuff.
