Can I mix Kids Gummies with my morning coffee?

Hey all, I give my kid these Kids Gummies (the multivitamin ones) every morning, but I also have a cup of coffee with breakfast. Is it safe to give the gummy with coffee? Or does caffeine mess with the vitamins? Any science on this?

I'm no expert but I've read that caffeine can interfere with absorption of some B vitamins and maybe iron? But honestly, the kids gummies prob have tiny amounts. I'd say it's fine, but maybe space them out by an hour to be safe. Coffee is cheap, gummies are cheap, so I wouldn't overthink it.

I personally avoid giving my kid caffeine altogether (I don't drink coffee around them), but if you're just having a cup, I doubt it's a big deal. I'd prob wait 30 min after the gummy to drink coffee. Also, maybe check with your pediatrician? Just to be sure.

I'd be more worried about the plastic wrappers and palm oil in those gummies than the coffee interaction! But seriously, I think caffeine can be a diuretic and might flush out water-soluble vitamins before they're absorbed. So maybe not ideal. Try a green tea instead? Lower caffeine and more antioxidants.
