Can my kids take their gummy vitamins with a smoothie?

Hey all! My kids love their gummy vitamins but they refuse to take them plain. They want to chuck them into their morning smoothie. Is that ok? Or does blending mess up the vitamins? Also, they sometimes add a scoop of protein powder... safe combo?

I wouldn't recommend blending gummies into smoothies. The heat from blending might degrade some of the nutrients, especially the delicate ones like probiotics or vitamin C. Also, the sugar in the smoothie could cause a rapid spike in blood sugar. Better to keep them separate. Just my holistic two cents! 🌿

Lol I put my gummies in coffee sometimes to get them down quick. Can't see why a smoothie would be an issue. The protein powder is fine, might even help absorption of fat-sol vitamins. But if your kids are picky, try cutting them up or hiding them in a spoonful of yogurt. Consistency is key for gains 🏋️

I'd avoid the smoothie. Gummies usually have added sugars and artificial stuff, and pairing them with fruit sugars is overkill. I make my own gummies from bone broth and fruit juice - then I know exactly what's in them. If you're set on store-bought, just give them with water, not a liquid meal.
