Headed to the mountains with my two little ones next week. We use the SmartyPants gummies daily. Any tips for traveling by plane? Will they melt in my carry-on? Do I need to declare them at security? Driving to the airport is 3 hours, then a 4hr flight. Help!

Honestly, gummies are just candy with vitamins. They'll get soft if it's hot, but you could just bring the powder or chewable tablets instead. TSA won't care, just toss 'em in your bag. I wouldn't stress.

If you're worried about melting, put them in a small insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. TSA allows gel packs under 3.4oz. I always bring my vegan gummies (no gelatin!) in my carry-on and never had issues. Also, check the TSA website - supplements are fine.

I travel with my homemade gummies all the time. For store-bought ones, I'd recommend putting them in a small glass jar (like a baby food jar) to prevent crushing. They can get sticky if warm so maybe keep them in your personal item near the AC vent on the plane. Also, try freezing them overnight before the trip - they thaw slower.
