Gummies got hard and weird looking, still safe?

Hey everyone, I've had a bottle of vitamin gummies for my kids for about 2 months. They're now hard as rocks and some have white spots on them (sugar bloom maybe?). They also stick together in a clump. Are they still safe to eat? They're not expired yet.

Ugh, that's happened to me too! Usually it's just sugar crystallizing from moisture changes. As long as they don't smell funky or moldy, they're probably okay. But the texture is gross. I'd toss 'em and get a fresh bottle. Not worth the risk with kids.

I've eaten gummies that got like that before. Tasted fine, no issues. But yeah, they get chewy and not as pleasant. Probably safe though. Maybe store them in a cooler place next time?

Thanks folks! I think I'll play it safe and buy a new bottle. Maybe keep them in the fridge from now on?

Fridge works! Just make sure they're sealed tight so they don't absorb moisture. I keep mine in the pantry but in a jar with a silica packet now. No problems since.
