So I turn around for 2 minutes and my 4yo has downed a whole bottle of the 'fruit punch' gummies. He's fine (called poison control, they said he'd just have some mega-poops) but man, I swear these things are designed to look like candy. Anyone else had a close call?

Oh BioBob, I'm glad your little one is okay! I remember when my kids were small, I had to hide the gummies in a high cabinet. They look so much like the fruit snacks from the grocery store, it's ridiculous. I even caught my husband munching on them once thinking they were a new candy I bought! 😂 #NotCandy

As a med student, I've seen a few cases of vitamin toxicity in kids. Most multivitamin gummies are water-soluble so they just excrete what they don't need, but iron or fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K) can be dangerous in high doses. Always check the label! Also, maybe consider keeping them in a locked cabinet. Glad your son is fine though!

Good point Mila, these were just regular multivitamins so no iron or anything. But yeah, I'm buying a lockbox today. And GummyGuru, I feel you on the spouse lol. My wife always steals my 'adult' gummies.

I swear, they need to make childproof lids on these things! Or at least make them taste slightly less like candy... but then would we still buy them? 😂
