Just saw this: UK Regulator Warns of Melatonin in Children’s Gummies. Apparently some gummies marketed to kids have unapproved melatonin levels. I give my kid a sleep gummy sometimes – should I be concerned? Thoughts?

Man, this is why I stick to whole foods for my kid. Gummies are just candy with extra stuff. Melatonin can mess with natural sleep cycles if overused. I'd say avoid unless doc prescribed. #realfood

Yikes. I only give my son a magnesium gummy before bed. Melatonin is a hormone – wouldn't mess with that without a pediatrician. Better safe than sorry IMO.

Biohacker perspective: Melatonin is useful for jet lag or shift work, but long-term for kids? No way. Their brains are developing. Always check labels – even 'natural' gummies can have hidden stuff. Get a blood test to see if they're deficient before supplementing.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna toss the bottle I had and talk to our doc. Better to be cautious.
