Traveling with Kids' Gummies? Melt-proof Tips?
Hey all! Heading out on a road trip with the little ones next week. We've got a bag of their favorite gummy vitamins, but I'm worried they'll melt in the car. Any tips for keeping them solid? Also, does anyone know if TSA has any rules about gummies if we fly later? #gummytravel
Oh, I've been there! For car trips, I put the gummies in a small cooler with an ice pack. Works like a charm. For flying, they're fine in carry-on – they're not liquid, so no restriction. Just keep them in the original container to avoid any questions. Safe travels!
Yep, gummies don't melt easily, but in extreme heat they can get sticky. I'd suggest storing them in a glass jar (I know Yara likes eco-friendly stuff) and keep them in your bag, not in the trunk. If you're hiking, maybe a small insulated pouch. TSA-wise, they're just like any solid food, so no worries. Have fun!
Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely use a cooler for the car. And good to know about the original container – I'll keep that in mind for our flight next month. You guys are awesome!
Anytime! Also, if you're worried about them sticking together, you can separate layers with parchment paper. Just a little hack I learned. Enjoy your trip!
