Hey guys, I work nights so my 'morning' is usually around 3pm lol. I take a gummy multivitamin and a gummy omega-3, but I also have a big cup of coffee with cream. Is that okay? Will the coffee mess with the vitamins? I've heard caffeine can block some nutrients. Any advice?

Great question! Caffeine can interfere with absorption of certain vitamins like B vitamins and vitamin D, but it's not a huge concern unless you're drinking tons of coffee. Taking gummies with coffee is generally safe, but for optimal absorption, I'd wait 30-60 min after coffee. Also, the cream might have some fat which helps fat-soluble vitamins (like omega-3) absorb. So maybe have the gummies with your coffee but don't stress too much!

I do intermittent fasting so I take my gummies during my eating window. But I've heard that taking them with coffee can break a fast due to the calories in some gummies? Mine are sugar-free so idk. Anyway, I take mine with herbal tea instead because I read that tannins can block iron. But coffee should be fine unless you're specifically worried about iron absorption.

Honestly, I've been taking my gummy vitamins with my morning coffee for years and I feel great. But I do my research too! The main thing is if your gummy has iron, then avoid coffee/tea within 1 hour. If not, you're probably fine. For the omega-3, having fat (cream) helps. So I say go for it! Just maybe space it out if you're worried.
