THREAD: Gift ideas: Gummy vitamins for aging parent OR fitness friend?Started by OP

Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a 'health pack' or some specific gummy vitamins as a gift. I have two people in mind: my dad (70s, wants to stay active but has joint issues) and my friend (30s, super into fitness, always at the gym). I want something thoughtful but not too expensive. Any recommendations for good brands or combos? I've seen liquid vitamins mentioned here too—are those better? Thanks!

Hi OP! As a yoga instructor, I always recommend holistic approaches. For your dad, look into turmeric or ginger gummies for joint support—they're gentle and natural. For your friend, maybe B-vitamin gummies for energy, but remind them that real food fuels fitness best! I'd avoid synthetic stuff. Have you considered making homemade gummies? It's more personal and you control the ingredients. Just a thought!

omg i love this! i'm new to meditation and wellness stuff, but i got my mom some elderberry gummies last year and she adored them—they helped her immune system during cold season. for your dad, maybe something with vitamin D? i heard it's good for bones. for your friend, protein gummies could be fun if they exist? sorry if i'm not super helpful, but i think gummies are such a cute gift idea! good luck!

Skeptical mom here—be careful with gummies! They often have added sugars and fillers. Check the labels. For aging parents, a calcium + vitamin D combo gummy might be practical for bone health, but consult a doc first. For fitness friends, most 'energy' gummies are just marketing. Liquid vitamins can be more bioavailable, but they're pricier and not as gift-friendly. I'd stick to trusted brands like Nature Made or skip it and get a nice water bottle instead. Just my two cents!

Greetings! As a holistic healer, I emphasize whole-body wellness. For your father, seek gummies with ashwagandha or omega-3s to support mind and joints holistically. For your friend, adaptogens like rhodiola in gummy form could aid recovery—but ensure they're organic. Liquid vitamins are potent but lack the joyful experience of gummies. Consider a small bundle from a brand like MaryRuth's—they offer clean options. Blessings on your gifting journey!
