Help! My kid thinks gummy vitamins are candy and won’t stop sneaking them!

Ugh, I feel your pain! My 5yo did the same thing last week. I had to hide the bottle in a high cabinet. But honestly, it kind of freaked me out – I switched to liquid vitamins for my family because I worry about sugar content and additives in gummies. Plus, no choking hazard! Just a thought for the future. Hope your little one is okay!

Haha, classic! My husband ate a whole bottle of my elderberry gummies once, thought they were candy. He had the runs for a day but was fine. Now I keep them locked up like contraband. 😂 But seriously, liquid vitamins are way better for absorption anyway – your body can use them faster. Maybe try mixing them into a smoothie?

Oh man, I can relate! My kid refuses any vitamin that isn’t a gummy because ‘liquids are gross.’ I tried hiding liquid vitamins in juice once and she totally knew. Now I’m stuck buying the gummies but have to hide them. Ugh. At least they’re yummy? Hope your story ends with a laugh, not a trip to the ER!

ZenZoe46 – have you tried unsweetened liquid vitamins? The taste can be strong but mixing with a bit of applesauce helps. And for the candy issue, I’ve started making my own gummies at home using fruit juice and gelatin (vegan agar for me). That way I control the sugar! Just a tip. 😊
