Traveling with gummy vitamins - do they melt? TSA?
Hey all! I'm about to take a long flight and then do some hiking. I love my gummy vitamins but I'm worried they'll melt in my carry-on or get crushed. Any tips? Also, do they count as liquids for TSA? I'm bringing a bunch.
I've traveled with gummies a lot! They don't melt easily, but if it's super hot, they can get soft. I always keep them in a cool part of my bag, like near my water bottle (but not frozen). TSA usually doesn't care, but I once had a guy ask what they were, I just said vitamins. You should be fine. For hiking, I put them in a small pill container to avoid crushing.
Omg, I once left my gummies in the car during summer and they turned into one giant blob! Lesson learned. For traveling, I recommend putting them in a small, hard container and maybe wrapping in a sock. I also read that you can put them in the fridge overnight before flying, so they're harder. And TSA has never given me trouble, they're solid, so not a liquid.
I'm all about tech, so I use a mini travel fridge? Haha, but seriously, a simple insulated lunch bag works. Also, I've seen these silicone pill pouches that have a hard shell. Best for hiking. TSA-wise, just keep them in your carry-on, no issue. But if you're flying internationally, check the rules, some countries are weird about other countries' supplements.
