Are Magnesium Gummies Just Candy in Disguise?

I’ve been taking magnesium gummies for a while now, but I’m starting to wonder – aren’t these just glorified candy? I mean, 5g of sugar per gummy? That’s insane! I might as well eat a real gummy bear. What’s the point of a 'supplement' if it’s packed with sugar?

I get where you’re coming from, but honestly, for me it’s about consistency. I’m a yoga instructor and I recommend gummies to my students who struggle with pills. If a little sugar helps them take their magnesium daily, I’m all for it. Convenience wins sometimes.

I miss when supplements came in simple capsules or powders. These gummies feel like a marketing gimmick. I tried one brand and it literally tasted like a sour patch kid. Not to sound like a boomer, but why can’t we just take our medicine without turning it into dessert?

JoyfulJack33 – I get the convenience argument, but there are sugar-free options! Why not push those instead? It’s like the industry is infantilizing adults. And WaterWillow796, totally agree. I’ve switched back to capsules. The gummies just make me crave real candy.

True, sugar-free exists, but some people hate the taste of stevia or erythritol. It’s a trade-off. I personally don’t mind a little sugar if it means I remember to take my supps. Different strokes for different folks, I guess!
