Best mag gummies for a 70yo mum? (and maybe a fitness buff too)

Hey all! Trying to put together a little 'health pack' for my mom’s 70th. She’s been complaining about restless legs and not sleeping great. Also want to throw in something for my gym-rat friend who’s always sore. Any recs on mag gummies that actually work? I’ve seen so many brands I’m lost!

For your mom, look for magnesium glycinate — it’s gentle on the stomach and best for sleep/relaxation. Avoid oxide, it’s cheap but harsh. I get my mom the Nature Made glycinate gummies, she likes the taste. For your friend, maybe a combo with mag malate for energy/muscles? But gummies are rare for that — you might need a separate bottle.

I second glycinate for mom. There’s a bunch of brands: Natural Calm has a nice raspberry lemon flavor. For the gym buddy, check if they want mag for cramps or recovery. If cramps, I’d actually recommend a topical spray (absorbs fast). But if they insist on gummies, look for one with added electrolytes like potassium — heard good things about Elm & Rye’s magnesium gummies (they have a 'recovery' mix).

Thanks both! Mom’s not a fan of pills so gummies are a must. I’ll look for glycinate. For my friend, maybe I’ll just get him a multi with mag + zinc? Or do you think separate is better? Also Noah, that spray idea is interesting — he might actually prefer that post-workout.

Honestly, a multi might not have enough mag for recovery. I’d stick with a standalone glycinate for mom and maybe a separate malate gummy for your friend if you can find one. Or just get him a tub of powder — cheaper and easier to dose. But if you want all gummies, Garden of Life makes a decent vitamin code line that has mag in their raw organics.
