Hey everyone! I’ve been taking these magnesium gummies before bed for better sleep, but I’m wondering if I can take them in the morning with my coffee instead. I like to start my day with a big cup of joe, and I’ve heard magnesium can help with energy. Is that safe? Or does coffee mess with absorption?

Great question! As a yoga instructor, I always recommend taking magnesium away from coffee. Caffeine can actually increase magnesium excretion through urine, so you might not get the full benefit. I usually take mine with a warm herbal tea at night or with a light breakfast like oatmeal. If you need morning energy, maybe try a smaller dose with food? But I’d avoid coffee within 2 hours of taking it.

I'ma student on a budget, so I just take mine with whatever I have lol. But I read that magnesium can also help with caffeine jitters, so maybe it's okay? I've mixed it with my morning coffee a few times and felt fine. But yeah, if you want max absorption, prob best to space them out. Check the label too – some gummies have other stuff like melatonin.

Thanks guys! I think I’ll try taking it with my breakfast (like a banana or something) and wait an hour for coffee. Seems like the safest bet. And Ursula, good call – mine are just magnesium, no melatonin. Appreciate the help!
