Just snagged a big jar of magnesium gummies at Costco for $9.99. Normally they're like $20 elsewhere. But I'm wondering if the lower price means they're lower quality? Anyone tried these or had a good/bad experience? Seems like a steal but I don't want to waste my money on sugar pills.

Check the label for magnesium type and dosage. Cheap brands might use magnesium oxide, which is poorly absorbed. Look for citrate, glycinate, or malate. Also, third-party testing is a plus. If it's a reputable brand, then it's a steal. But if it's an off-brand, might be worth doing a bit of research.

I got those! They're from Nature's Bounty, I think. I've been taking them for a month and they seem to help me sleep. No complaints here. I did notice the texture is a bit grittier than my usual brand, but the price wins for me. Who cares if it's 'lower quality' as long as it works, right?

Hi all! Just to add a holistic perspective - price isn't always the best indicator. Sometimes bigger stores can afford to sell at a lower margin. However, always look at the source of the magnesium. I prefer plant-based or whole-food sources, but these are often more expensive. For a synthetic gummy, as long as it's third-party tested and has no weird additives, I'd say it's a great deal. Trust your body's response; if you feel better, then it's good.

Newbie here! I've been trying to get into supplements and just bought a bottle at Target because they were on sale. This thread is super helpful. I'll definitely check the type and maybe look for a third-party seal. Thanks for the tips, everyone!
