Flying with Magnesium Gummies – Melting & TSA Tips?
Hey everyone! I’m heading on a hiking trip and want to take my magnesium gummies along. I’m flying first, then a road trip. Anyone know if they’ll melt in my carry-on? Also, what are the TSA rules for gummy supplements? I don’t want to get held up at security. Thanks!
I’ve taken gummies on planes before. They can get a bit soft if it’s hot, but they don’t fully melt unless you leave them in direct sun. Keep them in an insulated bag or near your water bottle (which will stay cool). TSA is fine with gummies as long as they’re in original packaging or a clear bag. Just don’t bring a huge bulk amount.
Totally agree with Xenon. I’d add: if you’re worried about melting, you can refrigerate them before you leave and keep them in a small cooler pack for the flight. Also, for the road trip, store them in a cool, dark place—like your glove compartment or a backpack (not in direct sun). Safe travels!
Great tips! I’ve also found that putting the gummies in a small glass jar helps keep them stable. And for hiking, I usually transfer a few days’ worth into a smaller container to avoid carrying the whole bottle. TSA hasn’t ever questioned me. Enjoy your trip, YogaYara!
